What is Occupational Therapy?
Occupational therapy aims to support children in maximizing their potential to participate and meaningfully engage in daily occupations across different contexts (eg. home, school, community). Occupational therapists work closely with the patient and caregivers to support the child’s development of skills in the areas of self-care, school participation and play/social interactions. Services available include individual therapy sessions, group therapy services and caregiver training workshops.
We aim to develop the full potential of every child and assist children in participating in home, school, play and leisure activities. We provide occupational therapy for children of all ages ranging from babies to adolescents to address:
- Developmental delay
- Intellectual disability
- Handwriting difficulties
- Attention and behavioural problems
- Learning difficulties
- Motor-coordination difficulties
- Difficulties in sensory processing
- Visual perceptual difficulties
- Difficulties in activities of daily living (ADL)
